What we collect

We store the opportunity details and text you submit, the evidence we collect, the assessment, and optional usefulness feedback. Do not submit passwords, OTPs, bank or card credentials, or government identification numbers.

Why we use it

We use this information to produce your result, prevent abuse, operate the service, and measure whether the guidance is useful.

Retention and sharing

Checks are automatically deleted after 30 days. After deletion we keep only anonymous facts about the check: the company name you entered, the sender’s website domain (never a free email address such as Gmail), the verdict, which warning signs applied, and the date. We never keep names, email addresses, phone numbers, pasted messages, job descriptions, or anything that links the record back to you. These facts help us improve warnings and our list of genuine and impersonated employers. You can delete a check earlier from its result screen. A share link contains only the company, role, evidence, warning signs, verdict, and recommendations; it excludes recruiter contact details and pasted text.

Service providers

Vercel hosts the application and provides privacy-focused Web Analytics. A managed PostgreSQL provider stores check data. Domain evidence may require requests to public DNS and domain-registration services.

Website analytics

We use Vercel Web Analytics to understand anonymous page views. The application is also instrumented for key product actions such as starting or completing a check, opening the PDF view, sharing a report, and submitting usefulness feedback where the active Vercel plan supports custom events. These events may include broad categories and counts such as contact method, selected warning-sign count, verdict, or evidence-gap count.

Analytics events do not include company or recruiter names, email addresses, phone numbers, pasted messages, job descriptions, report links or tokens, database identifiers, passwords, OTPs, bank details, or government identification numbers. Vercel Web Analytics does not use cookies.
